Chando is currently residing within New York City. Chando studied at Manhattan College prior to becoming an actor. Chando is best known as the character Maddie Coleman from As the World Rotates, a television soap opera in which she played between 2005 and 2007. Also, she appeared again starting at the end of 2009 for several months. Alexandra's acting debut was in the TV show House Blend on the show House Blend, in which she appeared as Jenna Harper. She was Maddie Coleman in the CBS soap As the World Turns for three years. Chando played in American documentary films True life and Sherri in 2009, and also appeared as Maddie Coleman in the series As the World turns. Also, she acted as Annabelle in two episodes Glory Daze, an American comedy/drama television series. Additionally, her other television show credits include Castle, Hindsight, Dead People and Outcast.
